Gameplay is phenomenal, I love it. Design is awesome.
Story is mediocre, but people are crazy to say it’s a “bad story”. Solid 8/10 imo.
I just don’t think this sequel, at least the story that was told, was “necessary”.
If it was, only play as xxx for the first half, people really confused until knowing what xxx did, play as Ellie for the second half, show what happened with xxx and watch this s*** fly, since the execution is what got me torn

After that escaping the war between the scars and the wolves level, I don't see how anyone could call this a bad game or "just a movie game" S*** was beautiful and intense af. The abby s*** might honestly be superior gameplay wise to the ellie s***

the characters aren’t as simple as good vs bad like most of the people seem to think. It’s said in the first section of the game that Joel isn’t a goof person at all. And even at the end, when he killed hundreds of Fireflies to save Ellie, it was an objectively selfish decision. He lied to a little girl because he wanted to have what he lost. He’s a complicated character and that’s what makes him unique. He’s neither good nor bad, no one in the world is, he’s just human.
His death was as sudden as the people’s lives he took which is fitting, it’s realistic, he didn’t die a hero because he’s not a hero.
