the game is an interactive movie. it relies entirely on it's story to achieve it's purpose as a video game.

the gameplay is fine but it's not groundbreaking, challenging, engaging, or any of the other adjectives you'd like to see. without a great story it just fails at what it's supposed to deliver

and the story is indeed bad. nothing to do with gays or girls. it's just poorly written with few likable characters.

I'll say this, the gameplay didn't change from the 1st one, but on God did they make it more intense, engaging and feeling stressed all the time., uncut gems style. You'll have a small brief moment of energy before returning to the stress.

the story itself was executed horribly but there's clearly effort there and it makes sense in the end but what in the f*** was the point to do that to xxx, so early and not build any of this up?

That’s what’s insane. They had in built suspense with “oh Joel lied how will this blow up” but it’s ultimately pointless and thrown to the curb

This is a game of revenge and most of this s*** had happened as ellie, so again, why not make us be with xxx to start so when Ellie goes red with rage, were conflicted ourself?

If you asked me “What events do you think follow the first game”

I would have responded exactly what TLOU2 story is

So very lackluster, Naughty Dog should be able to come up with a better story than random person X could (and that too with so many years of thinking)

Execution is not on point. Playing as XXX felt so much longer than Ellie lol
