Porter sees his comrade walking off towards the river "Be careful Barry..."

Barry walks 5 minutes down to the river bank to check out the situation around there. No enemies can be seen around.

The river is about 800ft / 250m wide.
It's about 200-240 feet / 60-73 meters deep, depending on where you're standing. He reaches an old water treatment plant and some pumps which were used to keep the water levels in check in case of a high tide.

There's two small fishing dinghys, equipped with wooden paddles (wooden fishing vessels, about 2m/6ft tall) and a inflatible boat equipped with a small electric motor (and also some plastic paddles) anchoring near it on the shore, one of the dinghys looks really dilapidated. They're all still floating on the water tho.

As you look towards the Point-No-Point Bridge where the cargo ship is anchored beneath you see several small secured metal ladders attached to the center columns of the bridge next to the cargo ship leading down to the water. Although there's no direct connection to the ship, they're pretty close to the edges of it, one could easily jump over without much of a hassle. You make the bridge out to be about 21 feet/ 6,4 meters above the water at the point where the rails are and where the ladders begin to descend.

"What do you guys think: We can either row these boats over to the ship, or we can climb down to it from the ladders on the bridge.

There's also a slower but safer option: I have Taylor Swift's ring, which allows the wearer to walk on water. We could have one person walk over the river to the ship, and I could use my aquatic form to bring the ring back to the next person, rinse and repeat until everyone's on board."

"I will need to heal a lot anyway. So the 8 hours thing won't hurt us. If we get attacked we won't be able to get away quickly with dingys anyway."

Porter in a serious voice "Sure, the cargo ship sounds like an option, it probably even has some quarters for the crew."
Eye-Kyu asks "So... we continue our journey tomorrow then?"
Porter nods at him "Yup.."
Kuniva in excitement "Wohoo, you tell me I get to try a magic thingy? Nice!"
Biz nods "Super nice! We never did that! It would be good to get some rest Im tired as f*** son, all that running made me hungry too, could really need a rest.."
Tariq to Coochiemane whos almost falling asleep "Uhm. You think you can walk yourself for some minutes over to that ship"
Coochiemane gives an unmotivated response "Think so..." he coughs.

Barry grows gills and webbing between his extremities, and begins escorting people over to the ship, bringing the ring back and forth.

Porter looking at the fast flowing river takes a deep breath, puts in the ring and jumps off the border of the shore.

The ring doesn't glow, nor does it react in any other way, Porter falls directly into the water. The stream, going 25mph / 40km/h immediatly starts too drag him along into the direction of the bridge

Porter shouts "God damn it!!! Heeeeeeeeeelp!!!!" he tries his best to swim against the current doing the crawl.

Thanks to your abilities you easily rescue Porter and bring him back to the shore. His clothes are dripping wet "Ugh... looks like this didn't work..." he takes off the ring and tries to hand it back to Barry

You sense Jeffrae**s feelings, it seems surprised as it sees Barry pulling out the ring. Just a moment before Porter jumps into the water it seems like it wanted to intervene.
After hearing Barrys comment with the limited vocabulary it has available you can hear it speak to you inside you "Quēmahca" (Yes/Affirmative), it seems to agree with Barrys** judgement.

“Sorry, Porter. I just assumed anybody could use these things. So what’s the plan now? Should we try the boats or the bridge, or just give up on the ship altogether?”

Porter while squeezing his wet clothes "No worries Barry, how could you know. Thanks for saving me."
Kuniva gets sad a bit "Oh man... I thought I could have a little fun..."
Biz begins to hum "Iiiii walk on waaater..."
Porter smirks "Well I still don't mind getting onto that ship, we still could try heading there with the boats or else we'll walk on the tracks on the bridge above and climb down the ladder."
Eye-Kyu nods "Still feel that's the place they'll least expect us if they start looking for us, since it's harder to get to."
