no but based on what i heard as a listener to the pod for years and how things transpired

heres 3 things that I take away (feel free to disagree)

1. Rory and Mal did not handle s*** the right way and aren't business savy despite giving business/contract advice on the pod

2. There was miscommunication about their roles between them and Joe. Joe is a boss and they are employees

3. Rory and Mal didnt contribute enough to warrant ownership (2 other ppl came and the audience started liking them better)

Joe is messy and emotional but we already knew this. Those two have to be held accountable too.

You can't be a boss if your not willing to put in the leg work

You cant want ownership when you don't contribute anything valuable enough to warrant equity.

You can't tell niggas to do things outside of the show but then have the terms of the contracts state that they cannot appear on podcasts outside of the show.

Breh believe it or not Rory contributed to the success of the JBP it is today which is a reasonable request if he wanted some equity! I also don’t get your infatuation with calling Rory a bum.

This gonna sound like a d*** riding post, but he manages artists, did palooza, was on the Pod, a full time fiancé, dog father and was juggling a side chick. I can’t Imagine creating a YT page filled with JBP clips was top of his mind nor would’ve it pushed the needle in negotiations lol. Not everyone needs to be their own ‘boss’ some people are content with being behind the scenes and doing their own thing.

People will move on. Your acting like people don't continue watching shows when there favourite character dies or leaves a show.

It was a chess move allowing rory and mal back to do those recent two pods. It showed everyone their lack if interest and lacklusre performance. How you get off the bench and not perform after you see two dudes about to take your spot.

Rory and Mal thought they had power and they tried to do a boss moving thinking that they were kings with leverage but they were in fact pawns on the chessboard.

Forgot to mention if fired. I'm sure they got their own outside s*** going on so it's not like it matters, I know Rory does at least. I don't know why Joe would keep hassling them to do things outside of the show. Seems like they were totally fine with just doing the show, all they wanted was some transparency, and I believe Rory wanted more as he was a big part of the show along with Mal, which they were.

It's pretty much the same thing Joe did with Complex and Everyday Struggle. "I helped make this show what it is, gimme more money".

One thing I haven’t sent mentioned is that I remember 50 Cent saying he had problems with other people in G Unit because he felt like they could reach his superstar level but didn’t put enough effort into it. I’m pretty sure they talked about it on the podcast. It wouldn’t surprise me if Joe just thought that’s was a slick look for 50 and decided to steal it once he had problems with his co-hosts.

all the outside s*** is cool and I'll give him credit for trying to stuff outside the pod but when it comes to the pod, he doesn't do the stuff that warrants equity.

He should've negotiated equity right when he started podding early on. According to Joe, he never did until the Spotify deal. This is where we need to hear his POV to find out if this is really true.

At this point, Joe has every right to deny him equity. Hes a good cohost but after a while his opinions became safe (because of his industry relationships) and the pod suffered.

It says alot when two of Joe friends can randomly come on the pod and alot ppl gravitate to them more.

If you listened closely to the podcast over the years, you could've predicted it would turn out this way.

But I'm more disappointed in how Rory and Mal have handled this. Not talking to Joe about having equity earlier on was a big mistake. Not putting in work on the pod when you want equity is also a big no no.
