yeah, exactly like that. and Joe is no longer with Spotify. just like Rory and Mal are no longer with Joe

Joe overestimated his value, but there's a difference between doing that when you at least have some value and when you have none at all. Everyday Struggle tanked after Joe left

also Joe didn't ask to see Spotify's books

both parties handled things poorly. better communication would have helped. but Rory and Mal thought they were bosses but they are workers

They’re also friends as well as what they thought they were “business partners”. So with both those combined I can’t fault them too much in their approach. If Joe put himself above them, then he should’ve been clear in that from the start. As foolish as they are for “over playing” their hand, Joe is equally as culpable for his deceit in their roles on the pod.

We both agree.

That's why I feel mal and rory not showing up was their way of quitting. I think Rory (I came to peace with a long time ago that Mal's brain is cut from a different cloth for me to understand what is going on) understood he was bout to be canned.

I just (and this is just a theory, I'd hope it's not the case.) think it'd be corny if joe of all people had them sign a contract that said they couldn't even talk bad about the pod in any form (cause yeah, I get the not make another podcast for a year thing, that makes sense) after they breached the contract.

Well any case above it all, it was time for a change. It got to the point where Joe was having to force them to react and whenever they did it was short and typical as always. Ish and Ice provided good content when they were on.

Rory and Mal provided classic memories but time to move on.
