Joe really called that Adam22 interview "Two masterminds jousting, playing chess"
Fam that was two people trying to out deep the other person and was a complete cringeworthy ego circle jerk. Almost a self parody.
In the first minute of the interview they said it was like batman and spiderman hanging out
why did you take anything else seriously
Ofc it was a parody
to own a part of something
you need to have invested into it, created it or buy it
i keep seeing people weirdly try to say joe is becoming the machine he hated. you're not listening correctly if you believe that.
joe created the properties he brought to complex and spotify. mal and rory did not create this podcast.
joe finished the terms of his contracts and honored them by doing what he signed to do. rory and mal breached theirs.
i listened in when joe says he paid for everything and ian paid a bit early on. that matters. when you talk about owning a company, your investment is extremely important. and being an employee doesn't entitle you a piece of it. some companies do that but clearly this one doesn't.
when you want a piece of something, you ask the person early on for a percentage. you dont wait until the big deal comes then ask for it. because they have every right to tell you no. and he has every right to not give them numbers on what the business made in the deal.
also mal showing up late and inconveniencing the whole team and he and rory both basically advertising that they aren't podcasters is actual bad business and hurts their case of wanting a piece of the company they didn't build beyond just being talent/employees for.
in what world do you threaten and challenge your boss to a fight, as well as routinely show up late and then barely show up for the patreon stuff, and usually stay on your phone and barely add anything meaningful when it's time to work and then think you deserve equity or to have a peek into the books? none of us would do this in real life so im so confused on how you defend these guys doing it lmao yeah theyre friends but it's literally a million dollar business that employs a whole team of people and you walk off the job multiple times only to show your lack of worth to the company. its just bad move after bad move back to back with them lol.
the fact that he overpayed them and payed them when there was no deal makes their case even worse lol.
and just so you know, you shouldn't share management or lawyers with other people on the job and your lawyers and management should never be a team. it's a conflict of interest and they'll put you in a bad position to profit one of the other on either side. hence why joe kept talking about being ill advised. niggas failing on business 101.
also i have no issue with rory or mal, it just seems like they and a lot of the fans don't understand the situation as much as they could.
joe was saying labels would never let rory do what he was doing, but joe is the same guy who hates labels and how they move lol
also kinda shady how joe started saying "mal lived with me" suddenly instead of "we lived together"
Ish and ice did everything rory and mal do but better
They're not bad but i just think peak rory and mal are better. Ish and Ice prolly gonna get better but idk

THIS MAN IS TALKING TO EMPTY CHAIRS!!
At the end of the pod where he asks them for sleepers
THIS MAN IS TALKING TO EMPTY CHAIRS!!
YOOOOOOOOOO
dude talking like theyre there im done
What label would let you go to drakes house and send him threats
If they think it'll drive sales up, all of them. If they think it'll kill your career, drive sales down and they need tax write offs near a q4, all of them. They'll just make sure they aren't implicated in any kind of way

LMFAAOOOOO

Exactly the label doesnt want to be implicated
Rory isn't even like an artist though
imagine like a janitor at def jam going to drakes house
At that point you are only repping the brand and the only thing you can do is implicate them
Joe isn't in the wrong for not wanting s*** to do with that especially being aks friend
Wow I am truly shocked and surprised that Joe would fire an employee who was stalking and sending threats at a competitor
lol true

you are wasting your time. "I am a cashier at McDonald's, so I should be paid as much as the CEO" twitter will never listen. same folks who think Amazon workers deserve $40 / hour
