Niggas gassing this like it's better than the raid movies, in such a way where they're saying "only plebs ever liked the raid, that's the easy answer, this is the real s***"

Seated in the theater rn let's see what the hypes about

I wouldn't say it's better, but it's got ingredients of what made The Raid special. Idk if anything's topping The Raid 1 & 2

Aight so this was extreme kino. Final fight was on some other s***. Idk if it's over the raid 2 or the OG but thats more than fine. I liked it more than twilight of the warriors.

Sidenote tho, that dub was really bad but then sometimes ppls mouths moved like the native language, and then on close ups it looked like they were speaking English? Am I late, do movies usually do this? I always pick "subbed" so I'm not usually exposed to that, but this didn't have an option for it. Gotta be AI right?

Yeah sometimes the ADR is terrible even as they're dubbing over English, and I'm hearing that the ADR for this particular film is atrocious

  • Excited for this one

Well not just the adr, sure it's all over the place but the movie is super over the top so it's not necessarily the worst ever or anything. But I feel like they AI'd the actor's mouths to look like they were speaking English on closeups. And then on wide shots, the mouths don't match

    I don't think I've seen that before

  • Lots of crazy choreo in this. Loved how they sidestepped the usual "henchman walks up, waits for his moment, dies in a couple hits, repeat" for the big groups

Just got out...obviously the plot was razor thin and it has the usual martial art c***ches with everything being over the top. But my god the fights scenes in this movie amazing.

The best type too, where they incorporate the environment. they was brawling with bikes man

That final fight sequence was a work of art, had me glued to the screen

  • Just got out the theater.

You know, when you really get down to it, compared to this, The Raid really is sort of a flick for the unwashed plebs.

This, however, is the connoisseur’s action film. The real s***, if you will.

Ending I’m mixed on but the fighting was solid with a feasible story . Definitely had some wtf moments . The only action story and fights I’ve loved is the villainess . The raid I barely remember story but also know it was solid . When I want an action movie or even a mortal kombat this is part of engaging I need the practical effects to feel the crunch . At times the bad guys are fighting everyone with a mixture of Bourne meets raid meets dancing . Great theater experience . Glad I choose this over an extremely late disclosure day tonight . That’s next on my list .

was the end a dream how the f\*\*\* was his partner and police chief alive. Like I get he would never die but both of them being alive felt too good to be true as much as I loved them as characters

  • The dubbing or whatever also threw me sometimes . Loved the depravity of the villains

I interpreted as the mute lead and the cop somehow curving. His friend died and they honored him and his partner there at the end

Police lady only got hit with an arrow and kicked in the head hard, she got it light compared to pretty much everyone else in the movie. Joe taslim died and mute homie saw a vision of him tho, he said "goodbye" to them when he spread his ashes

There’s never going to be anything close to The Raid 2.

People saying this gives it a run for its money

    I'll judge for myself

Definitely want to see this with a crowd. Only two other people in the theater when I saw The Raid 2. One dude stood up and started clapping after the kitchen fight.

I hate that dope movies like these don't sell at all in theaters it's always some limited bs.
