Okay yeah I’m terrible at this. Should probably play other from games before touching a multiplayer version. Feel like this has enough cool imagery that it could have been a fun single player experience.
Would be dope if they added a Bloodborne-inspired playable character that uses the Saw Cleaver
This always happens to me for some reason in every from game when i pvp but i have to use the shield and try the parry man so many attacks are easily counterable because everyone forgets about these options
Yeah this has grown on me crazy
And there’s still two additional maps, more characters, side missions, story, and ranked mode in the final game
This is going to be one of them ones man
How live service is this gonna be? Like nightreign or can we get some Fortnite type of love
Man im always making it to the finals but i choke right at the end, shoulda known not to skip on pvp sessions in the previous games

I don't think we'll get more than a DLC honestly

Most likely they go the Nightreign route with a major DLC later. IGN asked Miyazaki about a content roadmap and he didn’t rule it out

Same lol. Only way I was able to win a match was by hiding while the other two fought and sniping the last one standing before they could recover
The hub ran much smoother, it almost felt like a generational jump in performance ha, went from inconsistent 30-40s to 50-60.
There are some differences in weapon movesets here. Since there's no rolling, there's also no rolling attacks. Theres also not a single regular sword in this CNT now that i think about it. Zork's moveset might be pretty op honestly considering the guaranteed 2 hit combo present in the game, combined with hyperarmor sheesh i know why so many win with him, not even counting his jet attack which is a normal skill???
I love how espressive the emotes are, i actually allied with a first hostile player by emoting with Layla so that was fun, you even need to use some when some sigils are applied.
Right as the cnt finished i finally understood the parry timing, well at least i can try using It tomorrow.
Also i feel the maps will be very hard to plan around, the layouts are very complex and the map isnt detailed enough to help you route your path. Im very happy im able to prioritize properly what to do, thats how you get to phase 4 really. Id usually go with slaying lower tier enemies, finding a kin and if possible power up my weapon, on phase 2 id go for small bosses and whatever event before going to the ritual sites, phase 3 id try going for the big bosses. Of course finding any blood sacks is worth a detour, and picking up items around does help increase virtue, and also can provide exp. In general id say phase 1 you should prioritize exp, but as soon as phase 2 starts you'll need to strike a balance between virtue and exp, and on phase 3 ofc priority Is virtue. Ideally by the ritual site of phase 2 you should be around level 12 which is when the characters unlock their ultimate.
I have so much more to say about this game, luckily a good nights sleep is all that separates me from the next one
Same lol. Only way I was able to win a match was by hiding while the other two fought and sniping the last one standing before they could recover
You a Layla main too?
Also since they're low effort, go for the flame virtues asap!! Run over enemies if you have to.
And keeping track of the area names Is the best way to find your way around for now, on the map the names even have an icon with the type of upgrades you'll find there
Idk ritual sites might be when the game gets the most fun. It isnt a 1v1v1 situation where people can gang up on you because they were allies or because you ended up #1, there's more chaos, and the arenas have some obstacles, buldings or generally some level design to give more complexity to the scrambles. Its total chaos when people get there and i love it.
I will focus on using sigils at the next (and probably final for me) session. I tried the destined rival a couple times but it was hard to even find my rival, let alone beat them. Maybe they could improve this aspect to make it a bit easier to pinpoint their location, otherwise i feel like im wasting time searching for them, and id just get discouraged. Its very fun in concept, id just like it executed a bit better. I will admit it might be a matter of simply not being used to the system
wanted to tap in this weekend but i don't think i will. started playing psychonauts instead lmao. combat looks incredible but after seeing how the game is structured i'm not sure it's for me in the first place. hope it's successful though
