Damn shame they never got a chance to make their Exile or Blood On The Tracks or Some Girls
A beatles album with songs written by each of them about their exes = BOTT?
White album not their exile though? Yea it doesn’t have a consistent sound but how would that work out
Beatles are one of my all time favourites but for the sake of friendly debate I gotta say Dylans highs from the 60s s***s all over the Beatles
bask in the Basement Tapes for a while and you'll understand how hollow Sgt Pepper and Mystery Tour are in comparison that year
The purity of that music will outlast the flashy production in the long run. George Martin was doing them few favors that year.. and that's coming from the biggest psych stan you've met.
Forgive him he hasn’t heard Sign on the Cross

Alot of commentators are highlighting that yoko is pretty chill and by that is putting to rest that she was the catalyst for the breakup.

so far i agree. it's really the bickering between the members and just them being so tired of each other
@headbythenuns @giorno_giovanna beatleheads gonna be eating big this weekend
almost done part one rn. loving it so far. this is a real treat that this footage exists and is available for us to see.
Funny cause Peter Jackson always struck me as more of a Grateful Dead kind of guy.
Fun fact Jerry Garcia was the first person to cover Imagine.

Biggest thing I’ve learned from this is George easily had the most drip out all of them
watching the first ep now and this is incredible

The fact that so many books still name the Beatles as "the greatest or most significant or most influential" rock band ever only tells you how far rock music still is from becoming a serious art. Jazz critics have long recognized that the greatest jazz musicians of all times are Duke Ellington and John Coltrane, who were not the most famous or richest or best sellers of their times, let alone of all times. Classical critics rank the highly controversial Beethoven over classical musicians who were highly popular in courts around Europe. Rock critics are still blinded by commercial success. The Beatles sold more than anyone else (not true, by the way), therefore they must have been the greatest. Jazz critics grow up listening to a lot of jazz music of the past, classical critics grow up listening to a lot of classical music of the past. Rock critics are often totally ignorant of the rock music of the past, they barely know the best sellers. No wonder they will think that the Beatles did anything worthy of being saved.
