oh that's an interesting take, i never really thought about today being super introspective, i was mostly enamoured by the sounds they were making and the melody. btw i was saying good time is my favourite song on love you, not my favourite beach boys song... that would probably be sloop john b
yeh at first the same here but overtime i realized man the lyrics content in the time of when it was done in pop music and for how young they were is impressive..
you ever heard this? shouldâve been the mix that made the album imo

yeh love you is from 1977 as you know the rough brian in bed vocals can be heard all over it, the reason good time sounds so different sonically but also has a much younger and bright falsetto healthy brian over it is because they just pulled a recording from the sunflower sessions, 1969!
so it takes me off the album a bit, i would rather have an original song from love you on it, this one for example which was a left out and used on miu:
!https://youtu.be/a--DhDz-oYEDennis sounds nice on this song, hook is dope too
Dennis sounds nice on this song, hook is dope too
love the lyrics on the chorus too, real s***

my pleasure brother
thatâs what im here for
it was a mix made aside by the engineer and sent to make the album but got turned down
itâs insane to me how he captured the absolute beauty of the song right off the bat bc listening to this today sounds like a fanedit nerdin out, but no it came fro the bands camp while making the album!
itâs prolly among my fav bb thing ever
Naw I have heard about it though
oh man you should put it on your list to check out!
heartbreaking record

glad he got to shine on his own altho itâs hard to not wish if it got done as a bb album, they at least shouldâve let him do one

This family and its discography is a story of tragedies. Do you have a good documentary that goes into detail about the family and eras?
fr? i donât see it
both choruses' parallels (in terms of vocals) seem similar to me, maybe it's just a personal thing haha

hahahha i literally had that on my mind as i typed that but thought id have to revisit it before recommending it to you but itâs the one that is the most official and covers the most of the history, not sure how accurate but itâs pretty detailed of key moments tho yeah itâs a good watch
The ones with no ratings I have to re-listen.
I gotta listen to carl, 15 big ones, light album, s/t, 20/20, beach boys party, christmas album (have heard a few songs), little deuce coupe, surfin usa (have heard a few songs)
If you have any important lore I need to know for some of these albums (or even the ones I rated) that would be appreciated for sure
hereâs some good one for 20/20: itâs not actually an album but itâs more of a compilation, it gets the album credit because there is i believe one or two original new songs to it but all the rest are b sides that already has been released in the last year or two, something to that effect
for that reason it makes for a crazy colorful album, itâs all over the place one of the most incoherent bbs album ever but for the best: itâs very fun and has some of their most rocking songs, in retrospective it amazingly captures the essence of what made 1969 so wild, it sounds just as fun as that year looked like
