marketing might've been the biggest failure in the BB legacy, they had it right during the good vibrations-smile era but before AND after that they had no idea what to do smh

I have to imagine a lot of it is people fully aware of Brian’s feelings, perspective, and condition at any one moment and they just don’t give a f*** cus they’re making coin off him. He only has so much agency, especially dealing with all the extracurricular music s*** that happens later outside of recording and making things himself, and I’m sure the people in charge know that and take full advantage
