weezer the goats and tbh I just be wanting new music to bump to stay focused so these threads are great
weezer alone from the 90s have the blue album, all the blue albums b sides and bonus songs which stacks up to another album of its own, the shelved project songs from the black hole which is out there, then you got pinkerton, then all the b sides to pinkerton and it’s bonus material which also stacks up to an album to its own and then you got all the lost 90s gems demos by rivers alone, so yeah in that decade alone is very rich and great quality material all around of a rabbit hole
tom waits have some good albums and some left overs that are put onto compilations
mmm well i think maybe the richest one is mike patton the lead singer of faith no more not only his albums with them but ALL his other projects outside is, man LOT of stuff and lot of different style of music! and if you get into FNM other band members side projects it gets wild
Been hearing great things about Tom waits and been meaning bump FNM since I saw ya avi that cover look so fire

George Clintons P-Funk discography goes absurdly deep
did you guys know in the mid 90s brian reconnected with tony asher, the great lyricist of pet sounds?
only two songs has been released from these sessions that also involved the great andy paley
this isn’t love:
!https://youtu.be/65CdOioikaw(oddly enough before dropping that version, they first released an only instrumental version of it)
!https://youtu.be/qPGWHBQhT9Qand everything i need:
!https://youtu.be/wR-8OG6v3acas you can tell this isn’t released as a brian solo song, it was given to his daughters band, he is featured on the bridge and hal blaine, the iconic pet sounds drummer is also featured on it! a too rare reunion
however if you listen to this version is it produced in a very clean, adult contemporary fashion way which is typical of joe thomas as ive mention above, as mucch as i love imagination the album, im not a fan of this opportunist ..
thank fully the demo of the song has surfaced, which features the same gang but without the soft production, more closer to a pet sounds flavor:
!https://youtu.be/FRc_ao2NrIkhere is another version recorded by jeff foskett, longtime backing vocals for the beach boys since the 80s, who’s been on every released project since until they parted way post 50th reunion, but he is on most brian albums, including smile, the falsetto is mostly him, he is on the beach boys reunion album
either way, am not personally a fan of him, he sounds artificial in his falsetto, but he did cover everything i need to make justice to the demo style, it also features brian but not hal blaine whatsoever, but it’s nice to hear in a good production a take on the song and with vocals of jeff that does make a good impression of young brian either way:
!https://youtu.be/flYNAyePHhohere is hal blaine talking about the song, how they got together, how he loves the song and called it the record of the year, how joe thomas got in the way of it and ruined it, all amazing insightful stuff, heartbreaking too tho... if you thought brian was free once landy was out and his wife came in, think again... timestamp 3:29

@BaroudeurFlipFlop this is the type of s*** i was alluding to
this is why i think the way i think about the stuff regarding frank ocean and what not and why im not buying the official comments on it
brians camp want to make him an adult contemporary artist
so amazing
So phenomenal ! I enjoyed this one The most off the album and that 20-20 version of cabin essence
Lost and found, you still remain there
You'll find a meadow filled with grain there
I'll give you a home on the range
