I was about to watch The Batman again but feel like something animated perhaps
Batman Under The Red Hood
Batman The Dark Knight Returns 1 & 2
They're both great and some of the best animated superhero stuff in general

Have you seen like Mask of the Phantasm for instance? Or are you looking for more recent 2010's stuff? If not that's an automatic go to. One of the best Batman stories imo
Pattinson's a huge fan of it too
"In the comics, Batman is someone more… unstable. If you read between the lines, it's actually very sad. Whereas in the cinema, it is always his heroic side that is put forward. The Batman does the opposite, we capture the inner bubbling of the character. In my opinion, the only other to achieve this is the animated film ‘Batman : Mask Of The Phantasm’. When I saw it, it clicked: being Batman is a kind of curse, it's a burden. But hey man, you decided that, right? "No no no, I HAVE to be Batman. I was chosen, not the other way around.'' I don't think we've ever really seen that in a live film.’’

biggest redpill is that Phantasm is the best Batman movie out them all
Tomlin hyping it
1st movie promised this and was trash, so I doubt it.

Ahh okay cool. I only said that to differentiate the type of film cus the older ones are in the same universe as The Animated Series (absolutely worth watching if haven't too)
I'm gonna throw in Sub Zero, Batman & Son and i thought the Long Halloween Parts 1&2 were solid
And Andrew Garfield said he wasn’t on No Way Home, we’ll see once the credits roll
He talks about a bit here. Obviously can't answer deeply on story but Josh even asked about stuff like Robin

I do think tho from his red carpet interviews its clear that he is super passionate about this Gotham he's built, loves the team from Dylan Clark to LeFranc, Tomlin, etc... and clearly isn't interested in anything other than his Batman. I don't get the sense at all they're interested in "merging" into anything else.
They have a cinematic universe of their own, hire all of their team and cast, have a clear focus and want to fully realize what they've envisioned. The incentive to compromise or do anything else just isn't there right now
He said the villian has "never really been done in a movie before" and that they had to pick an idea that goes into his past and life
Idk.....

Now yall can stfu with the delusion’s finally
Phantasm?? That's actually a character tied to Bruce's past and there's a lot they can do with that on both Batman and Bruce. No live action adaptation and would make Rob beyond excited
Would also introduce the need for a major female lead. How many Batman films do we get with a female lead antagonist?

the dark knight rises
phantasm would be goated
Also, i think the satisfying thing about the Hush story was that it was a veteran Batman so Hush's plot roped in Batfamily, toyed with Jason Todd, Joker, Clayface, etc....
Doing Hush on a year 2/3 Batman would be handicapped in comparison. Phantasm absolutely wouldn't. Timm's story was heavily reliant on Year 1-2 Batman lore despite taking place later. The trick is connecting back to Gotham's spiraling which isn't that hard
edit: The animated movie used the Batman: Year Two comic as a basis for creating Phantasm.....
I heard the word “Elseworlds” come out of Matt’s mouth. I might kill myself if Andy Muscietti stays on (not really this is not a serious post)
