It could be entirely possible that they shift the timeline of Part 2 to take place some years later after The Penguin.

Gunn is definitely going to add a Nirvana/Vengeance joke into his Superman film. He'll save any official announcement until after so that it could be the reveal. Maybe have Lois report on the flood in Gotham and have the movies happening simultaneously. That's why Superman didn't help out with the Riddler situation

I actually think this could get me on board with Pattinson's take and the Reeves version. That was one of my biggest complaints with The Batman and The Penguin. How many times do we have to see the origin/build up of how they eventually become the characters we know? Why can't we just start from there instead of seeing them in their early years. If we get a time jump out of this and Pattinson is like Arkham Batman with an already established rogues gallery and Robin history then he might actually surpass Bale and Affleck for live action batmen (with the right script and movie)
