I think it’s between Death Stranding and Resident Evil 2 with Smash Bros as a long shot.

I don’t think Outer Worlds or Control have a shot and I just have a feeling about Sekiro not getting it.

Then again we all thought RDR2 would take it last year and GOW did.

No, it’s up there because there is more content in that game than 99% of games. I don’t think a multiplayer focused game will ever win GOTY but the reason it’s up there isn’t for clickbait.

Smash Ultimate has around 1000 songs in its soundtrack alone. That’s more content than most games just from music alone. I don’t think all the content in the game is good personally but the game has absurd ammount of content and is insanely fun and it deserves the nomination based on the amount of love and care put into the game.

Pretty sure he said nothing next gen will be shown off and my guess is no PC exclusives get shown off.

I think developers have more up their sleave than we think because they still need to make money instead of sit around and wait for the Ps5 to come out.

I’m going to retroactively pick a GOTY next year.

I’ve put 230 hours or so into Smash Ultimate but that’s it.

However, I bought Sekiro and Resident Evil 2 for Black Friday. Plus I plan to buy Control at some point and will probably buy the Switch port of Outer Worlds when it comes out next year.
