I won’t deny that. I’m not even saying any of them are bad artists. But Taylor is generational and has multiple classic albums. There’s no competition between them regardless how you feel about this album

There really isn’t another artist out right now that can pierce through culture with every new album release, gotta commend her for somehow achieving that in 2025

yea i used to think Adele was bigger but i think Taylor edges her out by a lil

i still think Adele’s popularity is more valuable considering she’s not in the limelight as much except every half decade or so

Also, her fans skew a lottttt older in age than Taylor’s and she doesn’t really have an online presence whatsoever

Taylor’s definitely bigger, but Adele’s popularity is still insane considering how offline she is. She still has the record for the highest first week sales ever at 3.4M with 25. I don’t think Taylor is gonna break that

I know that songwriting is more than just lyrics

Her structures and melodies are mediocre as f*** too

There is no Kendrick Lamar lyric that you can cherry-pick that is as dumbfoundingly elementary as “did you girl-boss too close to the sun?”

Taylor will never break 3.4M and I think after TLOAS she will slowly start to "fall" off in terms of sales again. She will still sell insanely good but I think she reached her peak with that
