I think it's a bit idealist for me to say just get rid of capitalism and the problem goes away because realistically capitalism is here to stay for the foreseeable future.

I'm not an expert or anything but I think taxes need to be relocated away from things like the military and police and into social programs. If corporations/wealthy individuals paid more in taxes that would be easier to do as well.
