Regardless, I think it should be made more apparent that this isn’t a James Gunn movie, and hopefully he lets Craig Gillespie take center stage when it comes time to promote.

I mean obviously Gunn not directing but Walkman and teaser looking Gunn like is more like wish each movie felt like the directors style . I haven’t seen anything from Craig gillepsie though wonder why they choose him .

Generally the idea when hiring less famous/experienced directors for super hero ip is that they re easier to control and will go along with all your notes

I really really really hope the overall DCU tone project-to-project does not follow the Gunn formula even in projects he is not writing or directing himself. It can work for his own projects but an entire universe in that tone would be utterly exhausting
