I have EVERY SPIRIT and did every challenge

I got a sick 0 to death with Byleth

Got all the new spirits pretty quickly with Byleth don’t think it took longer than 15 minutes

That sothis one was some bullshit tho

Byleth feels broken

His mobility is trash but his moves are so f***ing powerful

I think I’m gonna pick up ZSS

The character is slow and her moves are laggy. Not my style.

She’s definitely not broken. I’ve been watching pros talk about her and it may just be day 1 but the pros are thinking midntier and won’t change the Mets.

The said the same thing about Hero and Plant and we’re right.

I think a large part of not having hope for Byleth being competitively viable is outside of D3 in Brawl, characters with slow frame data and slow speed have never been competitively viable. Even Puff in Melee has good air speed.

Pikachu is busted in 64 and fast as heck.

Smash 4- Bayo, Cloud, Diddy, Shiek. All fast characters.

You just don’t see these archetypes work well in Smash.

I potentially see the character as a good online or free for all character but beyond that I don’t think there is much going on.

The one thing I really liked about Byleth was her recovery but apparently other people are saying it is easily gimpable so there goes that thought.

Byleth trash tbh. Fun for free for all and team battles but even then there’s better character choices for those

Sheik got a nice little buff.

Might include her in my main 3 with ZSS & Bayo.

When Plant, Terry, Joker, and Hero came out I played them all night the first night.

Last night I only play Byleth 50% of the time or less.

Used a lot of my 3 mains + ZSS

That’s just how I know a character is not for me.

Leffen just said without knowing exact numbers Byleth feels like the slowest character in the game aside from Incineroar.

The best Roy in the world, Goblin, made an early 7.0 tier list!

Most fun I have had with the DLC:

1. Hero
2. Plant
3. Joker/Banjo
5. Terry
6. Byleth

Watching Samsora stream Byleth even though he hates playing her is hilarious

Byleth is pretty wack imo. It’s not like they’re boring to play or anything, it’s just they feel so lackluster. They have powerful moves yeah, but are people really gonna be getting hit by these moves a week or two later? People are going to learn how to counter this character and how to do it hard. They already get eaten alive by projectiles, which more than half the roster has anyway.

Obv I’m no professional player, but unlike Joker, Hero, Banjo, & Terry, I really don’t see this character going far at all
