I have friends that write reviews professionally and I can guarantee you they have never wrote a review for an album they didn't listen to. You're using an extreme to define the norm.

95 percent of album reviews don't operate like that.

And in the end it doesn't matter because plenty classic albums have gotten horrible reviews. Lol.

One of the worst reviews I've ever read was the Pitchfork review of Ed Sheeran's album, Divide. The woman who reviewed the album used the whole review to diss his hair color, call him fat and unattractive and diss his height. It was nasty.

Other critics who don't like Ed Sheeran even called her out on Twitter. That's why I don't take critics seriously. Some critics hate you as an artist and they'll beg the publications they write for to offer them the spot to review your album so they can mock you. It's really ridiculous.

I feel the same way. None of them moved me but maybe they'll make sense in the context of the album. We'll have to wait and see.
