Doesn’t this depend on if you’re on the side of bell hooks, Cornel West, Fanon, Cedric Robinson, etc. or Booker T. Washington, Garvey, Thomas Sowell, Woodson Sr, etc.?
Putting bell hooks, fanon and Cornell in the same league because they’re black writers
Putting bell hooks, fanon and Cornell in the same league because they’re black writers
bell hooks in 2026

Ayo ion agree with mr orangecovid but yall cant tell me jayz albums got s*** to do with oral traditions passed down from africa
I made a juxtaposition man…that’s how you compare and contrast in conversation? Why are you being obtuse on purpose?
liking posts on both sides of the argument to always come out on the winning side
Ok yea a bunch of famous weird white kids are larping as hiphop fans
Sad reality is theres more f*** boys than real niggas in the world
At the end of the day it is what it is and this thread isnt gonna change anything
alexa.. play asap ricky multiply
Hip hop was hijacked to destroy the black community decades ago
Thats the truth. Can we not conflate f***ing jayz with what it means to be black?
didn’t even mention Jay-Z in my post you just pulled that out of thin air to get mad
only followed up my post by giving a shoutout to Big Pun and my experience with Capital Punishment lol
I was talking to @davey about him proudly claiming he’s only a fan of Drake, not hiphop. please read how I got to my point of simply comparing something that occurs within black history as hiphop is deeper than just pro-capitalism Jay-Z, but if we can’t even speak to said individuals impact on the genre as well, then what’s the point of even discussing anything or making idk connections that relate to black people across the cultural spectrum outside of music that are also interconnected within said music? I don’t think this has to be complicated and it’s arguing just to argue a point that isn’t even the main point of the conversation
which was that nigga Dave saying he’s not a fan of hiphop on a hiphop forum
neither should these f*** ass rappers but we defending them in honor of kid streamers lol
DJ Akademiks (35)
Adin Ross (25)
niggas still doing the “they’re kids bro” shtick in big 26
A lot of people who make money from music and are publicly adjacent to it have a tenuous at best grasp on the subject and probably wouldn't stand out much on KTT. The type of people who make music behind the scenes (producers, engineers, professional songwriters) are generally the real nerds who will talk your ear off about obscure genres and audiophile systems. For the rest of them, music is a means to an end that they occasionally enjoy on their own time.

lol it's almost like they aren't the only streamers
or is the complaint of this thread just 2 streamers and yall are grouping the others like them?
you banned me on there too
my take is that streamers evolved from podcasters so we can actually blame Joe Budden for this
Feel like it comes from gaming
lol it's almost like they aren't the only streamers

majority of streamers are 23-40 dawg
Everyone else can’t afford a stream setup or crew to support
ak knows behind the scene stuff of gang wars in chicago translates to him knowing all behind the scenes stuff.
not even defending ak but because he didn't know jigga man wrote for dre invalidates his hiphop card
never called myself a hiphop fan. talking bout all you other non black nerds on here.
my papi stamp is valid
never called myself a hip hop fan
Then you have no input on this conversation. Bottom line lol

I just care about the genre that is an integral part of my culture being cheapened by people trying to make a quick buck. The condescending act you do on here doesn’t make you look smart you’re just a a******.
"Too cool to care" fake nihilist types are a f***ing scourge honestly
