What they’re trying to say is that she didn’t word it right. Sexualizing people without their consent is fine. Like, I don’t think most people have a problem with someone wanking as they imagine their crush. Or, seeing someone in tight jeans and imagining them naked. Obviously we know what specifically she’s referring to tho, and that’s a lot more nuanced than a simple tweet can address.

She could have just stated that supporting deepfakes are wrong. By wording it “stop sexualizing people without their consent” . It begs the question of what she means by that, which leads to unproductive discourse. Obviously sexualizing people without their consent is technically normal .
