Finale in a vacuum is ok but if you take into account the whole season it is underwhelming imo. Stakes were the same as prev seasons and the fact that the creators were teasing dark episodes without a single death feels empty.

I liked it. I don’t think I ever built anything up in my head past it being this grand defeat of Vecna and character endings so I’m good with it.

I do agree this is probably the second worst season? Still not BAD by any means. I think most of the character endings were satisfying. I did tear up a couple of times.

I do wish they committed to a fate for Eleven. Leaving it up in the air has me worried that she’s gonna be in the spinoff and her sacrifice means nothing. I like the idea that Mike made the story up to make him feel better.

Season overall is like a 3.5/5

Started strong, had a weak middle, and a fine ending. Very cool to see it in a theater though. A packed theater made it fun.
