honestly that finale was extremely solid when compared to the rest of the season. the last hour was very heartwarming seeing the character’s last few moments. I think Netflix really shot themselves in the foot with the three volume drop. If they would have dropped it all at once or even in two volumes, public perception would be a lot more positive overall. still, I’m satisfied with the ending and glad this decade long running show has come to an end.
I should’ve put down numerous money lines for how this went because I called it all a week ago
But at the same time who didn’t see this coming
Thread jumped me when i said they were going to end it by setting it up for future project
Apologies are in order
That’s ridiculous because the duffers said themselves that this was going to be the case weeks ago
I saw it in theaters and I am actually offended that they put this steaming pile of garbage on a big screen. The most exciting, entertaining, and emotional part of this finale is that it ended and The Duffer Bros and production team are lucky they managed to capture that.
the bomb blew up at the lab where kali was so she wouldn’t have been able to cast that image of eleven. eleven is dead as hell.
Halo Reach for you to think the writers thought of this
this was f***ing awful
vecna didnt do jack s***, nerfed tf outta him
will getting his powers conveniently every single time too
Obese Cracker hog next to me was sitting in the recliner with her feet out bare smoking a vape drinking a beer and exclaiming at everything, crying for 1h straight saying out loud ‘this isn’t how it ends’ nonstop
Sums up the calibre of people who think this was good
Had to see it through. Started watching this at 15 and now I’m 25 and was able to take my little sister who’s 16 and I thought that was worth it, crazy that it’s over but it doesn’t make the quality any better

I don’t think the finale was nearly as bad as the previous 3 episodes, those are one of the few things I’ve seen where I would go as far to call it insultingly bad even towards their hardcore fans who would try to see past its flaws
Wheeler house attack minus the very end of it when Karen got her one liner off was actually pretty great

you just made that up
While there was issues with it, I thought the post timeskip was done well and pretty heartfelt
I remember someone itt said when vol 1 dropped they only brought kali just so she can be the only one to die this season

I did enjoy it more, but that was mainly because of the flashbacks and the "this is the end" scenes. But man, the other scenes - especially the action sequences - were a real drag.
Between the ridiculous wait for the release of the season and the convoluted plot, I completely forgot why I cared about any of these characters or their relationships.
There was no emotional resonance in any of the action for me. It felt like it was all happening because it had to happen to get to the end. All of these characters and relationships resulted in what? Nancy Wheeler running across the terrain of an interdimensional planet, strapped with an M4A1, prepared to shoot her way to the core of an interdimensional alien?
This show should've ended with Season 2.
