This was pretty dope but pretty predictable. From the opening credits calling her The Lady and him The Demon I had a feeling s\*\*\* was prolly to throw you off. And then when I seen the chapters out of order I f\*\*\*ing knew she was gonna do some wild s\*\*\* in Chapter 2 to justify why bruh was tryna kill her and said to myself “I bet SHE is actual the serial killer”

I think this kind of subverting expectations doesn't work especially when it's playing with "traditional" norms and expectations. Nowadays you're conditioned to almost think "Lemme guess, the twist is a flip on the usual societal expectations," so when that happens you're like, "yup, I called it," cuz there's only so much you can flip and twist in that direction.

Plus the marketing kinda gave it away in a sense, I just assumed, Yeah, she's gotta be the killer

The lady in this was absolutely fire. Such a cool look, cool physicality, cool dialogue, cool little quirks and manerisms overall hard performance

Eh yeah I'd say bout 1/4 the way I figured it out. I still thought they pulled it off well despite how predictable it was. Just the way it was told felt disorienting and worked for me.

Yup I agree. It was still entertaining

Yeah I agree. Tbh the trailer didn’t give it away for me I honestly went into it thinking it was some linear narrative guy tryna kill girl movie. Similar to “Run, Sweetheart, Run”….. BUT when I seen it was chapters being told out of order I f\*\*\*in knew it was for a reason and that chapter 2 would reveal the actual truth. Plus the very first shot of her being in RED yet the other guy is “the demon” didn’t add up lol

But overall cool ass movie regardless and still flipped the trope in a cool way.

    Could be a fun rewatch

This was cool. Loved the cinematography and the performances. This was my first time seeing Willa in anything but Kyle’s been underrated.

I think some of the posts itt saying it’s missing something could be the fact that there wasn’t much of a cat and mouse chase at all. They hid that pretty well with the nonlinear structure

There is something to be said about the message the movie gives off but I’m not gonna look too deep into it.

  • It was iiiiiiiiite

At one point I definitely considered the possibility that everything (even killing the old man) was gonna be an elaborate kink game, and at the end he’d say Mr Snuffalufagus lol

Willa would definitely land in my shortlist for performances of the year, and was hot af. I would get murdered so hard.

I don’t know why more films don’t turn up the saturation like this one does, I’m a fan of that aesthetic. And the last shot was perfect. Very spiritual. Reminded me of the film Dead Man.
