that doesn’t help them NOW tho. millions of people are about to lose their homes after december and waiting for the economy to get better isn’t going to help that. how are people supposed to feed their kids and pay their bills right now from that.

other countries are doing it dont make excuses for us not to. people need help now not later

I agree with all of that

Well regardless, they’re tied to stock and in case of emergency it will take time to get that money out.

That’s true. I guess I just see them as such because I’ve been in a few for over 15 years.

Yeah, but whipping the student debt stimulates the entire economy. It's simple economics.

Lol and the $600 will not help them or stimulate the economy. Student debt forgiveness will.

Yeah, people need help. What is the solution? Debt forgiveness of some kind is the only solution.

Giving people money will not help them. Your taxes will increase due to this free money and people will still have their debts.

Essentially, it's easier to start from zero than negative. And if more people are not in the negative the economy grows fastest.

the first issue is the price of education in the first place. that doesn’t really happen anywhere else. other countries have had this on lock so why dont you see that we should he doing the same? yes people should get to be relieved of college debt but thats mot helping the immediate situation at hand. if other countries dont have issues with college debt then why are they still receiving monthly stimulus during the pandemic?

Yes, you're right. The price of education is the issue and student debt forgiveness will not have a immediate impact. However, long-term it will.

Yes people need help now but the reality is short term help is not real help. People need to plan long term or the cycle never breaks.

    okey..

Yeah all those other crap that passes in the bill is included so certain people will approve it. Someone will say I won't vote in favor unless x y z gets included.

Is all bullshit. All that money could be reallocated into actual things that help communities long term.

then it shouldn’t be a one time payment lol that fixes the short term issue. all these issues with this country are not the fault of the people its the fault of the government and they should just do what they can to help its not our job to fix their f*** ups but its their job to help us
