There’s something kind of funny about how the whole game is copy paste and then the grand finale is them asking you to do it all again

cant even beat the game anymore its now finally too boring

I just did quests and avoided all the copy paste stuff and my playthrough was like 100 hrs. completed all side quests, companion questlines, faction questlines, etc. the copy paste stuff is just fluff if you wanna do it.

now i can use the ng+ feature to try again and make different choices in all the side quests. Some quest lines branch so I’m curious what it’s like if you side with crimson fleet without joining the uc or whatever, or side with the evil woman in the ryujin quest, etc. and I get to keep my level and character build and everything it’s a nice feature that’s just a bonus lol and the alt universes are randomized in different ways which is a unique take on ng+

Idk what ppl wanted, 100 hrs of bethesda rpg in space. More unique dungeons/outposts with quests definitely wouldve been better but it is what it is

yeah i agree, it feels like outposts are gonna get a dlc like skyrims hearthfire expansion, there’s a lot of potential

Economy of this game is part of what truly holds it back from greatness for me which is bonkers. Like you can collect so many guns and resources but resale of Guns, Resources and even ships is so low. Especially if you steal a ship have to pay registration than be able to sell it. Many of the illegal markets including production of Aurora don't pay enough. I need to get into Outpost but there is no reason someone should be at the final mission or played 70 hours and scrapping for cash or investing in upgrading a ship only to be able to sell it for a fraction of its worth.

Especially because I am playing on Hard and buy bullets for missions to be loaded up. Outside of that I truly enjoy the side quest and the many situations I see the reverberations of choices made in early game. I do wish there was more of a focus placed on choices than New Game Plus ( I am not there yet but get general idea ) and 1000 planets. 1000 planets great for the back of the box but I wanted or want a game where choice matters and its slightly more dense than this. I have had many great Role Playing Moments in this game. Some great Bethesda jank throughout . Some great sidequest.

Main Quest is infinitely better than most Bethesda games main quest and has fun moments that remind me of Half Life 2, Halo 2 and so many great first person games. However it feels like right when it begins to get fun weird it cuts the music and says "I don't want to be too weird and scare you ". This quote applies to a lot of Starfield however. It doesn't fully know what it wants to be or how it wants to approach its audience. So some moments feel generic. Others when they feel like they are truly trying to say something or pose something to the user I love. But then it feels like they don't fully want to slap the player with anything. Maybe in the New Game Plus 10 system and the changes throughout campaign I will understand to a greater degree. I don't know if I have NG+10 in me for the repetitive Artifact process.

Artifact process could have been more akin to Dragon Ball Z of searching various planets and sub systems and fighting some kind of Boss or planetary obstacle where you have to adapt to gather artifacts. Powers. But plays it pretty straight laced.

Also still some how shocked on the focus on multiverse over the clear lay up of aliens . But haven't fully beaten it yet

Overall really love it. One of my favorites of the year

Starfield enjoyed the immersion of choice and just truly exploring the world in the same moment as many of you

But its been a good year for games after many years of me taking a break or losing my full love of games this year restored the feeling.
