dude is still at it
nigga stay d*** eating
when i was taking over an enemy ship, for some reason setting it as my home ship caused me to lose my mantis ship - wasnt even a good ship either lol, had to roll back my save and lose over an hour of progress
the cost to register stolen ships then flip them is nerfed to the point where it genuinely feels like a bug
you can buy a ship for like 160 upgrade different guns then later in the game sell it get 11,0000 then you look in their shop and they are selling it for the original price or higher. When you have to pay to register stolen ships so there are really no point in stealing ships for money. You can steal them to have them but there are only so many ships needed for so many situations unless i am missing something
So I just started this and I’m looking forward to getting more into it, but during the first mission I just felt I was constantly going into menu to swap guns or figure out it I had enough ammo - which I didn’t 🤣
Need to figure out the menu thing so I feel more immersed
Remember seeing a post a while back saying they miss they idea of old Fallout songs playing during a game like this
Running back the Fallout 3 Galaxy News Radio while playing Starfield and can confirm this soundtrack has carried over beautifully. Will hit the FO4 radio when I'm burnt out on this
yesterday I beat the main quest line but I didn't go to NG+
Is there any advantage of doing the side missions in NG+ and not in your first playthrough? I'm level 25 btw
Also it's kinda annoying that the final quest is still in your quest journal until you go to ng+

I only steal them for my collection tbh
In bethesda games you always get rich eventually when you just play the quests normally

You don’t have your guns on quick swap?

Yeah that seems to be main way and outpost
just wanna relay some good setups for those early in game
save before you confront Brogan in the kreet mission and sleep in the bed for 10+ XP buff for 10 min
kill Brogan and see what valuable s*** he drops and just re-roll through the save you did previously until it's something nice you wanna keep from his dead body,
go to the deserted mining facility on Bondar hopefully you scavenged an advanced weapon off a dead body by now bc you'll need it kill one of the dudes in the facility who has the advanced regulator and pick that up off his body and now you have a weapon that at least does 120+ dmg and can almost solo damn near anything in the surrounding systems near you w/ it hoard loads of 43 ultra mag by any means.
The persuade mechanic is the dumbest piece of s*** ever what a piece of s*** this thing is man

It’s f***ing awesome, if you get extra info by exploring and reading s*** you get new dialogue options in the persuasion game, all unique to specific conversations. And extra skills like manipulation become options in the persuasion game. If you’re struggling with it you may not get how it works tbh. You can’t lose if you picked a correct option before, so you should be sticking to chaining the green (easy) choices if your persuasion skill is low. Certain items also help with persuasion.

Feel like you gotta put a few too many points to really feel your chances go up, greens fail all the time. And the extra dialogue=extra options for persuasion seems...conditional at best? Cuz that's also random, all the choices are always random within a set parameter
Love that rushing stealth, lockpicking and pickpocketing is always the way to go lmfao
Got so many credits and weapons doing that s***
Dumbest thing I've seen so far is no ammo craft
Makes no f***ing sense despite how easy it'd make the game
Love the game so far

All that is true and cool, but is it not ultimately still always random?
I prefer how it was in the other games. If you have the skill/charisma/persuasion, you get access to those dialog options & the rewards they lead to. You can still gamble if the percentage isn’t high enough but ultimately if you’ve spec’d into that as a trait you want for your character, it’ll get to the point where it’s an option that you can always use.
AI in this game is dogshit, but god damn it's a complete annoyance in big ship battles
Gotta jump to different system to go get a repair 6 different times and take out one ship at a time because they all target you and ignore all the NPC ships in the battle
recently noticed this exploit where if you land on the moons surrounding the planet more ships landing out of nowhere spawn and you can jack alot of ships that way i already stole off on 8 of them hoes.
The persuade mechanic is the dumbest piece of s*** ever what a piece of s*** this thing is man
ngl if you’re being serious then you might be kinda dumb
it’s my favorite part of the game

but how would make sense or even be fun if you were automatically always able to persuade people just cuz you boosted your skills
idk i don’t like that

I mean there’s so many other elements to the game that are dense and fun, I don’t need every persuasion instance within a quest or side quest to be a luck based thing.
Especially when there are morality/karma style choices that are locked behind a persuasion RNG I end up making choices that aren’t immersive or truly my own because I failed a persuade mini game that I can just reload and pick the exact same options & ultimately pass?
I boosted the persuasion/speech/charisma skill (as I do in every Bethesda game) and all I got is better odds on a dice roll
And I know you can use clothing, book-skill boosting and alcohol to make your odds even better but I don’t see how that makes it any more immersive or fun
But I’m also truly and deeply a dumb guy and play everything through that lens so I may be totally on the wrong side of history, maybe this is a way cooler system idk I prefer how it was in the older games
