Fallout 4 is not this . I like to support one collectors edition every so often if I’m a fan and they put in work . I’m getting it on pc either way

I loved FO4.
Dogshit ass company
. I get their games are buggy but creating a game of their scope is difficult so I respect them for even trying something of this scope

I like to support devs too by buying some deluxe edition or extra content if i really enjoyed their game, but those are mostly indies, and ’after’ me playing them, not for some reason to support a company with a track record of releasing exclusively unfinished and buggy games that are saved by community mods down the years. The smart move is play it on game pass day 1

I bought last guardian collectors edition. Last of us 1 collectors edition both before I even touched the games. Bioshock Infinite too. If a game is taking enough risk that I know put them through a lot I consider collectors edition because regardless of what we get . If I really f*** with their vision I like to support. I don't demand anyone else do so but especially a new IP I like to support. Could I get it gamepass, wait for a steam sale, pirate? yes . But I like that they get it out there. I do agree mods are going to slap but acting like Bethesda a terrible company dropping terrible games because its an open world that is sometimes buggy is
. Red dead an open world game that lacks bugs but doesn't fully hit for me personally. I respect it though.

Support them after they've proven themselves, bethesda doesn't need a kickstarter

After Bethesda proves themselves? lol if the game is dogshit I can flip a collectors edition

Why would you want Starfield to fail though? like ideally it is a good game and helps change the industry for the better to take more risk

Just playing with that last post :)
I don't want it to fail, that makes no sense. I just have very little faith in that bethesda will deliver a decent game at launch/vanilla state and not just a playground for modders, they don't get enought s*** for that, they should, imo

But does a game have to be perfect at launch? I think it will be decent at launch easily but in time get better and better with mods and patches

I mean no AAA title is "perfect" at launch, certainly not today, in fact a lot of them are straight up busted, see how shocked and praiseful people were with Hogwarts for being decent, tells you something
That whole process of patching a game for months/years post release to a point when it's considered stable and 'how it should've been released', when you've had years in developement is absolute bs

"sometimes buggy"
Buggy doesnt mean unplayable....
You can pretty much expect bugs and glitches in large open world games, but Bethesda games are next level janky. I can't tell you how many times my s*** froze on a loading screen playing Skyrim
If Rockstar, Ubisoft, Insomniac and Guerrilla can do it, Bethesda should be able to

skyrim and fallout 3 I played at their launches and they didn't have game breaking stuff for me. I do understand those who hold a grudge if they did,but they didn't for me
