This game has so many mechanics and systems to learn and sidequest . It’s not in my opinion trying to be a movie so much as a choose your own adventure and I love those types of games , books and ideas . That’s why it grips me . Not to deny its many cons and not saying it’s branching choices on a Witcher or baldurs level

Is main story short or am I alrdy close to finishing

Alot of my friends IRL have put down RDR2 due to the slow start, but I've said it multiple times now: I don't even know what the story is yet in this game, and I'm 6 hours in. Characters lacking depth, which I doubt gets better, but I'm still enjoying the loop to a degree, with side quests. Especially the last one was really long and in-depth; it had a twist.

I had this mission in Neon City earlier where it is pretty much a fetch quest, and it's lazy. I had to listen to some dialogue of the old white dude from the constellation talking to this lady, and I couldn't skip it. I'm just like, I don't care about any of this.

Red Dead definitely does story better, graphics, and gameplay, so it's a hard sell for me personally to look at this game on the same level.

And some of that is on me, cause I'm not sitting here exhausting every dialogue option like the bottom ones, but I still feel like these dudes ain't got no swag

i feel you on some of the side quests and annoying s***, but i truthfully believe is a part of EVERY big RPG. it is just that we are playing this one right now so it is much easier to criticize.

RD2 had some really incredibly tedious / monotonous s***. like f***ing hunting for craftables and s***. it is immersive and cool - do not get me wrong - but jesus it became a slog.

This a maxxing question they the only one who has beaten and think they focused on mainline. I’m like 3-4 farther than into the unknown but a few of those are like the same thing

Just got a side quest to scare tourists off a planet by wearing a monster costume and scaring the s*** out of tourists to spread a rumor monsters are on the planet

is there even an advantage of doing the side quests in ng+ vs in the first playthrough?

Mood I don’t deny this has slog or filler moments but it’s easier comprehend when I can play around with so many systems and how different things work . Still think stealth is a weak point but the sidequest on neon hit for me and Juno’s gambit ( was in space )

Yeah there is a lot added by truly talking . Sometimes bottom options have lead to different content

Man I think my game bugged this dude came up to us after buying the artifact, dude was talkin spicy i tried to persuade him and failed he starts shooting us first then the women we're suppose to talk to is agro and keeps shooting me

Not sure but I really think play how you want to play no problem doing a main quest then 1-3 side quest and discovering major cities . Major cities are dope and many side quest would be main quest in other games like writing and major choice wise

if you completely fail that persuasion I think that mission turns into a shootout . There were a few steps to orchestrate that drop and stealth parts after
