anyone notice when sea of stars got an 88 on meta crimson ark made a thread “looks like we got ANOTHER banger this year” but when starfield gets 88 on meta he’s in here trashing the game as not being innovative

Correct, but you’re forgetting that people gauge that in their reviews, they reviewed starfield harsher because of that expectation and it still got 88
Same goes for sea of stars, it’s not supposed to be some huge AAA game so they don’t hold it to the same standard when giving it a score

Yes, Starfield was graded amongst its contemporaries as was Sea of Stars. That's how it should be.

I mean... idk about you but the general expectation amongst people was a 90+. It's MS biggest (and most important game, arguably) in over a decade.
