And Alan Wake 2 might be a sleeper hit this year.. Remedy knows how to do visuals, and gameplay too of course.
Control did the whole superhero powers + gunplay mix pretty well, setting up a strong foundation for the sequel. As for Alan Wake, while the first game’s gameplay loop felt tedious at times, I think the spinoff American Nightmare had much more satisfying gameplay (simply because of one certain weapon included in the game imo lmao..)

I am very in for alan wake. Wish s*** was on steam but in regardless

Yeah unfortunately there seems to be quite a lot of things holding back its potential (in terms of commercial success):

• EGS exclusive
• digital-only
• crowded release period
• some people not vibing with the 1st game

Is Alan Wake gonna flop AGAIN?
Are we gonna have to wait another whole decade for Alan Wake 3? (Only saying this cus there’s already DLC planned for AW2 and who knows if said DLC is gonna wrap up the entire AW saga. Remember this is part of a connected universe 👀)

Starfield gonna be a 10/10 , i can feel it, but Returnal is pretty close to that. Gameplay loop was so satisfying and it had a very cerebral, mindfucky story, the lead voice actress really sold it too. Love that character and sci-fi world they built, if you love mysterious s*** this game has a lot of it and I’ve seen a lot of unique takes about what it all meant

They were really banking on Game Pass being their so-called ‘exclusive’ during the first couple years of this gen without actually having any generational exclusive game on said service lmao
