you don't have to sit down with him, just watch the movie.

He wanted to please everybody and in trying to do so had so many conflicting ideas that it pleased nobody. I'm sure it's not all his fault though, it's the executives up top who allowed TLJ to basically flip the script on everything right in the middle proving the fact that they had no long term idea of a story from the start. A film like TLJ would've worked perfectly at the start of the trilogy but the way it changed things up in the middle without a big bad (other than Kylo loooool even though Luke made him look mad dumb) it left JJ feeling like he had to set up and conclude a trilogy in the final film.

It's a shame how mishandled the franchise was, at least the prequel trilogies have an overarching story where nothing felt abrupt. Star Wars relies on the story and they f***ed it up :(

yeah the body hes in is one of the clone bodies the sith worshippers on exegol made for him to jump to when he died but vader killed him too early and thats why the body is all f***ed up

Now they have the ambiguity to bring back anyone in the future because of vague cloning methods.

the problem with the sequel trilogy is they didnt really know where they wanted to go

JJ setup some stuff in TFA but then they let rian direct and he was like nah im cool luv imma do my own thang and then some fans didnt like that so they panicked and brought back JJ and he completely f***ed it up

they shouldve kept 1 director for all movies or atleast make them work together tbh

the worse thing about it is that they all try to fit it together like it was always suppose to be like this as if they were all being one cohesive team.

Rian went hard and took big risks and they couldn’t be bothered to do the work and properly follow through after TLJ’s story.
