I wouldn't have minded that death for Chewy as long as it would have led to something with Rey's confliction. But it led to nothing and Chewy ended up being alive.

Literally. This whole movie feels like a waste of time.

Ngl, Rey suddenly shooting lightning and "killing" Chewy was where I thought the film would turn around and actually capitalize on the consequences and internal struggle of Rey and possibly making the film darker/better.

But the bait was terrible.

The worst part imo was the fact that they showed the audience Chewy was alive before Rey & Friends found out so we have to sit there for 10 minutes and cringe even more until they saw he was fine

these two didn’t have one moment the entire ST did they?
