They didn’t need romance in the trilogy period.
Finn and Rey had major siblings energy.
Rey and Kylo had amazing chemistry but I think Rian made it clear that Kylo blew his chance at the end of the throne fight, JJ bringing it back in TROS is beyond me lmao. Especially not giving the best actor in the trilogy any lines for the last half
Facts dude. I agree with this completely. I just generally think if a romance should have happened it should have been those two characters, that’s it
Rewatching all the movies in chronological order (should've done machete order tbh) & The Clone Wars for the first time

Finn and Poe for me haha but I feel you.
Hopefully they don’t bend over to fans crying with the next of movies, you please nobody when you try to please everyone at the same time. Luckily they don’t have to carry the Skywalker baggage anymore.
Knew this from the jump
Bruh, sure TFA wasnt very original and far from perfect, but I rlly enjoyed it and Finn was easily my fav character at the time. So much potential to make him a GREAT, memorable character. Him going from a stormtrooper to a (potential) force user would've been a dope character arc. The sequel trilogy rlly is just a bunch of wasted opportunities.

Facts man. They really missed out on the potential for a completely unique SW movie for the conclusion
My TLJ theater experience was hilarious. Went from being super excited to complete dissapointment
Prolly the most dissapointed I ever been watching a movie
Same lmao
I remember leaving the theater trying to like it but ultimately just having more questions than when i went in lol
The movie was beautifully directed but it just had absolutely no plot and no character development outside of Rey, Kylo and Luke

Everything about TFA was so promising
Finn was incredible in that movie and in TLJ he spends the whole time in a casino apart from the main cast and in ROS he’s essentially not there other than to scream reys name
Finn has to be in more Star Wars films right? I get the feeling he’s not but they set him up to be in more with how he’s story ended, he just awakened his force powers.

I get a feeling that the whole sequel cast wants to be done with Star Wars, lol.

I hope you’re wrong, tlj ruined Finn storyline and the rise of sky walker salvaged it.

I only cared about him in Ep7. Doubt we will ever see him again unless it's Lego SW movies, videogames or whatever

TROS didn’t really salvage Finn’s story lol

Salvage in terms of getting to a better place. It still need works, that’s why I’m hoping he’s in more star wars shows.
im not a fan of the sequel trilogy at all. i felt like TFA was a cheap cop out given star wars was gone for 10 years. you bring it back and basically just copy and pasted a new hope. no originality, the plot didnt make sense to a lot of people, the characters seemed forced. the rey character is just hard to get behind.
rogue one and mando are great. and i didnt mind the solo movie. i wasnt aware how bad that movie tanked at the box office until recently. but ill take those 3 over the 3 sequel movies

John Boyega isn’t doing anymore content for Disney.
So
im on mando episode 3 of season 2 when theyre at sea
and my heart jumped like f*** when i saw baby yoda slip and get swallowed by that sea monster
The sequel trilogy is one of the worst things that’s ever happened to movies
These films are terrible and so are the characters and plots in them
If ur a fan of rise of skywalker you are a Star Wars poser

He literally openly hates what Disney did to his character in the trilogy
He is never coming back trust

Literal same

i ruined my excitement by watching some youtuber talk about the script leaks a few weeks before

I loathe TROS but this mentality of “if you like insert film here then you’re not a real fan of the franchise” It’s very childish

Dawg u can think I’m childish I’m still keeping it real, if u actually defending and prompting up movies like TROS u as a consumer are helping ruin the Star Wars franchise. You can’t be a real fan of this s*** but think that movie is a good Star Wars film

sorry dude not everyone is as critical of these films as we are.
There are people who genuinely enjoy films like TROS and the decisions made for them And while there’s a higher negative percentage of fans who detest films like it and what they represent in the franchise, it’s super corny to be like “nah man you ain’t a real fan because you like this specific movie” it’s super gate-keepy and off putting.
liking said film doesn’t make them not a “real fan.”
