3 whole episodes were essentially filler leading up to the real adventure of mando and baby yoda. Written as good as the rest, predictable and quick.

The whole ‘this town ain’t big enough for the two of us’ s*** in this episode was so damn cowboy lmao

My first thiught

I know the plot was generic, but I really enjoyed the tone of this episode. Reminded me of Avatar: TLA in a strange way, plus the AT-ST appearance was satisfying

He said he hadn't taken it off in front of anyone since he was a kid...you can take it off in private for practical reasons lol

exactly...for all we know these characters could come into play again and therefore make this episode more relevant to the bigger story...it established that no matter how far he goes they're gonna keep hunting him so he has to keep moving and also established that he really does want something more to life than just the job...episode 2 was more of a filler episode and I enjoyed the hell out of it anyways...really hasn't been a bad episode yet

So why bother saying he never has removed it in the previous episode
