tbh I'm not very familiar with him either other than what my buddy who has seen Clones and Rebels told me...basically my understanding is he wants to rewrite history where the Empire wins and he reigns supreme or some s***

It's not that he's strong with the force or a Sith or a Jedi. It's hard to explain lol I'd recommend reading up on him

Only on ep 3 and i am liking the television show so far.

Basically introduced as the main villain in the first major piece of EU lore which is Heir To The Empire released in 1991 which had 2 sequel books. Had a cult following from that point onward and was author Timothy Zahn’s pet character. Was introduced outside of literature and recanonized thanks to Star Wars: Rebels. This is the character’s first live action appearance 32 years after being introduced.

In terms of backstory, he comes from an independent government known as the Chiss Ascendancy from the Unknown Regions. Meets Anakin during the Clone Wars and basically becomes an ally to Palpatine during the Imperial era, running his own lil splinter Imperial faction under Palpatine’s eye.

Is known to be a tactical genius and just generally smart to the point where he can deduce the identity of Vader as Anakin.

RIP Ray Stevenson. I want to know more about Baylan and Shin badly. Baylan, especially, seems so interesting. They keep throwing like sprinkles of his purpose out there but I just wanna know

I'm guessing that Baylan wants to merge the light side and the dark side to create a new religion which will break the cycle of Jedi vs Sith
