Maybe its cuz i watched rebels but i really don't like sabine in this. Really unlikeable and is making dumb decisions. Hera bringing her own child to a unauthorized mission
so many weird awkward pauses between dialogue and Filoni has damn near no subtlety writing Idk what y'all are seeing in this tbh not terrible but not good either.
Mando S3 and Book of Boba are both set in 9 ABY
Ahsoka is concurrent with Mando S3 and probably takes place shortly after she leaves Luke
But the timelines are very convoluted i wouldn't look too much into it. Disney+ Star Wars timeline also has Ahsoka after TBOBF
nah cause Jon said there is a time jump of “years” between Mando S2 and Mando S3 in one interview
later on he said Grogu was 53 at the start of Mando S3 but originally he was 50 in S1 and he was with Luke for a while (1-2 years probably)
ign.com/videos/jon-favreau-on-whether-grogu-is-the-key-to-the-far-future-of-star-wars
but yeah it isn’t made clear at all I only make these guesses cause stuff Jon said but I think Ahsoka starts at least a year before Mando S3

Jon doesn't know what he's talking about
Considering what the story is leading up to in the "Mandoverse" with Thrawn's return, Ahsoka is definitely happening after she met up with Luke, wouldn't make any sense for it to have been before. Thrawn's return is a huge deal and Thrawn will probably be the focal point of Filoni's movie if it gets made
They should do this more often
Wonder if we’ll get to see Thrawn then

i see seems like they don’t even know when if the two people show running have different answers lol confusing
so grogu was probably only with luke for a couple months if that’s the case
it does make more sense in terms of ahsoka though and thrawn returning i agree, also yeah seems like thrawn will be the over arching villain for this era
i do also agree jon is more likely to have been making s*** up and dave’s answer is probably canon
one thing i've not seen many people talk about is the music in this show. its quite amazing and unique esp for SW.
We still have 4 more episodes
Looking forward to seeing how all of this ties into the birth of the first order/birth of snoke/cloning of the emperor

yeah i think if they can’t get john for future movies kevin and his son should do it, they do a perfect job
Entering a star wars thread not knowing wtf everybody's talking about but the shambles are clear
I’m totally checked out if star wars becomes multiversal
it’s cooked
it’s just a different galaxy
Best outcome for this new galaxy would be for it to house more mature SW stories they don’t wanna taint the main one with imo.

Were you ever able to come around to TLJ
damn man i didn’t know Lord Baylan’s actor passed shortly before airing. RIP, he was easily best part of this show. totally stinks
Were you ever able to come around to TLJ
lol i remember saying it was my least favorite star wars movie after it came out and i don’t like it still but it’s my favorite of the sequels now
i think the force awakens being so unoriginal, resetting the galaxy to episode 4 politics again with no explanation locked the rest of the trilogy into a weird place looking at it with hindsight
the rose and finn plot is pretty bad but the rest of the movie has a lot of good moments
i don’t blame the last jedi or rian and i think it’s as original as it can be sandwiched between two meh movies that are visually pleasing
jj abrams really is the only person to blame tho for the sequels being underwhelming

I agree but there was room to fix a lot of the shortcomings in TFA with Episode 8, but I believe Rian failed to do that or maybe just decided that he didn't want to do that. I always look at the first scene of the movie with Luke throwing the lightsaber as a representation of how Rian felt about TFA. He decided to say "fuck it, I'm gonna do my own thing". I think Episode 8 is an alright movie on it's own but it ruins any potential that the sequel trilogy had. Honestly Disney failed by not properly planning out the sequels and just shopping them to multiple directors
