Saw this yesterday and i can easily say its between this or spider-man 2 for live action spider-man movies. After watching this movie I can come to the conclusion that whatever nigga did the HOME trilogy should NEVER touch Spider-man again (Still fw homecoming tho). The Weight in spidey's swings, The fact that he barley takes his mask off Most of the fighting being practical

I never really liked young aunt may but that scene with her and jean in spidey's memory might be top 3 spidey cinema moments f***ing beautiful scene and it made damn near everyone in my theatre start tearing up This s*** felt so much like a comic book in a good way, Spider-man interacting with Punisher, Hulk, and jean grey in such a casual way is something I could've only dreamed of as a child. I felt like this is what superman wanted to be but the world is way more fleshed out in this movie so dropping spidey in one bad week of his life really works compared to superman. I remember seeing a post that said superman was a phase 4 movie trying to be the entry point of a series and this movie really put in my eyes

One thing that i always thought was missing from the home trilogy compared to ramis was ppl coming and supporting spiderman. In spidey 1 the citizens throw trash at green goblin to help him in spidey 2 they hide his identity (I forgot what they do in spidey 3 tbh). In this one ppl are constantly saying they love him and the end scene where frank helps him leave the hospital while also being funny was very touching. Nigga has the worst week of his life but to see how many ppl he inspires and how many ppl love him as spider-man was just amazing.

If i had to give this movie any flaws it would have to be about jean grey it felt like some of the stuff she did was only to get the plot moving (Like her being in a black car face shown in front of spiderman just to drive off also ost was just okay really liked the synthy song they played near the end tho.

9/10 Best mcu movie post endgame for me.

i saw it right before seeing Brand New Day…

it’s not s*** it’s a convoluted (and yes, gimicky) story that was told well with heart and imo its also funnier than BND. Lot’s of movies do nostalgia baiting but in NWH it feels like a natural part of the story and I liked how focus it felt with it being such an event movie.

and it tucked on my heart strings a little more than with this one
