Like Spider-Man has always had his gadgets and gizmos in the the early days of his comics, but it was relatively minor tools like small cameras, spider trackers/tracers, different suits, and special kinda web cartridges for his webshooters.
But they've been going overboard in the games and now movie. In the games I can ignore it for a bit because it's a safe bet that Peter has been in the game for a minute. But MCU Brand New Day Spider-Man using all that tech an AI assistant s*** in his mask? Just feels pretty early to be doing all that.

It's levels to new tech though...like I can't imagine any version of Spider-Man would be cool with that AI face recognition kinda s*** because it's extremely invasive of privacy and illegal.
I don't know, Peter has always been something of a morals/ethics above all kinda guy, and it comes from his deep understanding of tech and biochemical sciences.
I'm glad that MJ did kinda call him out for messing around with genetics and the inhibitor though, because all of that definitely felt pretty off for Peter to be doing. But I'm interested to see how they approach that with the X-Men. There's definitely gonna be a moment when he realizes Damage Control are gonna be using that tech for inhibitor collars on mutants. Gonna lead to his "Tony and Ultron" moment.

I do wonder how the black suit will differ. I think if they lean more into how it changes Peter as a person than just how he acts as spider man then I’m open to that but then of course it feel like spider man 3

Problem with that is that he’s just now in the process of rebuilding his relationships with Ned and MJ, would seem like too much for him to jeopardize them in the very next film.
