HaroldsChickenI think a lot of teams are stacked or its known when they are hiring. Its fiercely competitive. A lot of these being beholden to investors wanting to drum up hype crazy early isnt sustainable.

There is no format that can hold the size of modern size games is one of the central issues. Then combine that with greed and wanting everyone to their marketplace eliminating used games sales

I dont think they do it til Playstation 6 though. I think the audacity to do it while still on Playstation 5 would be insane. Oh s*** this is January 2028 on the dot. So basically if they dont launch PS6 by fall 2027 then this will happen before they even make it to next gen. Which to me with possible production delays for parts was looking like Fall 2028 .
