When is the last time you've ever heard that someone was robbed for a physical copy of a video game
If someone breaks into your house they're gonna grab your console, not your games
You said you hadn’t heard of someone’s house burning down, just accept you are in a bubble
You’re not right in an argument just because you have anecdotal evidence that you haven’t heard something g
it's a really interesting question to be had. does digital purchase need to equal licensing?
is there a solution rather than banking a bunch of s*** in a hd?
We need a The Crew like situation to not ever happen again

I'm not in a bubble at all, I literally work with the fire department, we get structure fire calls all the time
What I said is I don't know anyone PERSONALLY whose ever had their entire house burn down, and the stats back that up. Less than 1% of Americans yearly experience something like this

This is what I’m talking bout. Like this is a dumb hill to die on lol.
You can make your point without disregarding the west coast that gotta deal with that year round
As a 31 year old along with physical media owner I can tell you there has definitely been a decline in overall quality just off how albums are made now (streaming numbers = bloat)
Nah there’s been a ton of high quality releases lately. Kelela this week, Tierra whack, Vince staples, Jill scott, james blake, blood orange, Rosalia, navy blue, Dijon, FKA twigs, McKinley D***son, Saba and no ID, etc

I never disregarded that at all, that's some s*** that you just said
We're talking about the country as a whole. I never denied that there were hotspots like Cali for fires or Oklahoma for tornados or Florida for hurricanes, I never denied these once.
As a whole, the majority of Americans don't experience natural disasters at a devastating level to their home, the stats literally show that
I don’t think PlayStation currently is dropping at exclusives that I want at rate to go PlayStation. But do think they will still hold most of their base . Xbox needs to find a way to take some market share though so it’s competitive enough where Sony can’t do whatever
Oh no exclusive games you're interested in which are dropping in 2027?
Well then there might be something in 2027 that you might like then hopefully
So we should live our lives in fear of something that happens to less than 1% of Americans per year on average?
Should I not drive a car either?
It could catch on fire.

again, you don’t know how to form an argument. There is no digital alternative to driving a car, if you could teleport over wi-fi I’d say yes that’s better, but that’s not an option. Digital games are an option, and it’s essentially better in every way. You can even share your digital games in a more convenient way than having to bring a physical box to a friends house. Digital is cheaper in many states as well, because there’s no tax on digital goods. The list of reasons is just huge.
@kr0niic is a f***ing nerd
Sorry that was mean

I've given you a valid alternative numerous times in the form of books yet you keep coming up with asinine reasons as to why it doesn't count
Digital is literally worse in every way besides the aspect of storage space, which also isn't an actual problem for most people
Digital is not cheaper at all, there are numerous games you could buy physically right now for half the price that are full-price digitally unless there's a sale
There’s tons of games that are 75% off or more in the current sale that’s live now so this is just more bullshit

Digital is much cheaper
I just got gta 6 for $40
I always put yall on deals
You niggas just don't value art and are trying to find every reason around it instead of just admitting it
Digital is much cheaper

You had a bunch of coupons, anything is cheaper with coupons
I havnt paid a penny for gamepass since its inception using Microsoft rewards and it paid for my series x in full for free

Books is a dumb argument because the reason people like physical books is because of the feel and the physicality of it. Discs are just a digital file on a disc, there’s no actual difference there to make the argument for a future with discs. It was just a stepping stone to get to all digital, I’m sorry. You’re going to be left in the past, and that’s fine.
PlayStation has a big sale every month, and there’s ps plus and game catalogue which can save you thousands
Also you can buy digital credit at a discount on Newegg and Costco all the time
You had a bunch of coupons, anything is cheaper with coupons
Then learn to coupon

It's not just about the disc, it's about the tangible item being owned and part of a collection
And people like the feel and physicality of discs and records as well
Still can't believe this s*** man. I know everyone at Sony and Microsoft applauding and patting each other in the backs right now. They been tryna pull this s*** off for a decade
I will as soon as you learn to not bootlick
