Can I help you?
That's not a good reason for pushing the minimum wage to 25.
Productivity sure but basing it off your region alone is wild
the insane amounts of inflation and cost of living increases right now definitely aren't helping these problems either
Rent is up, used car prices are up, housing market is up, gas prices are up, etc so Synop is definitely right about that
Raising the minimum wage has seemed to accelerate this process. I'm not going to pretend to be an economist or anything, just definitely something worth discussing
inflation would happen no matter what

I think it's both.
Lived experience is vital as well
ITT we value Work over Quality of Life
very interesting
just say you are smooth brained and go
inflation would happen no matter what
im hoping the increased inflation right now is more temporary because of all of the stimulus bills and not indicative of a larger problem

I mean that is basically what you are saying.
Shouldn't be given basic rights as a person if you can work for them instead.
@everyone debating socialists its futile
i thought they were decent people but they are against me homesteading. so f*** them

Who the f*** said we are against you homestreading
Did you not even f***ing read the paragraphs I f***ing wrote to you?
I literally explained the concept of land reform and how that will allow for more homesteading

you dont have a right to a house.
you calling it a human right doesnt make it so.
land is a finite resource. what are you defining as a house?

land is a finite resource is a good reason to stop these capitalists from buying it all up isn't it
I think it should be illegal to be unemployed. Unemployed people should be round up by law enforcement authorities and put into facilities where prospective employers can place bids on the value of their labour.
Obviously once bidding is finished the unemployed party would legally have to go to work for their new employer.
Also, look around your community, do you need a -insert chain grocery store/big box store- every 5 minutes? These spaces could be used for Tiny home communities or communal spaces.

sounds like what the USSR did.

Tiny homes are awesome and a great way to give someone space and privacy. It also cuts down on waste and having too much stuff.
I have said many times, you aren't just building houses non-stop. We have plenty of options already.

Do I have a "human right" to a home no matter where i want to live or just the city/state i was born?
Why would someone work if they can get a house for free and they get food for free?
so many people wouldn't work and you wouldn't have enough people who are capable of building homes. (assuming you arnt counting apartments and multifamily residences etc)

I don't believe in forcing people to work.
I would love to be able to have a place to live, know I can eat, can get healthcare and work on whatever I felt like.
You are tying living and working together.
You shouldn't need to work to live.
I think I’m entering a marxist phase. I think this time is for real
lets hope
