ASAKItbh I'll never understand why LARPing tankies always gravitate towards Stalin when Tito was far cooler.
I'm not even one to give a pass for dictators, but every time I've visited Albania or Macedonia, everyone always talks about him in a positive light.

Definitely, but there's a difference in generations. The strongest support for Stalin within Russians are amongst younger folks. The strongest support for Tito within the Balkans is split by older people and country.

I was more so poking fun at "hardline" tankies who worship and idealize historical leftist dictators, but will easily slide into defending capitalist behaviors from certain modern countries.
Their argument basically boils down to China had to reform while the USSR didn't have to.
There is some truth to that, but I disagree in the end.
