stalinists believe the leader of the revolution should be chosen by a council but trotskyists believe Lenin named his successor to be his cousin Ali

it's like you have to put some differences aside... like we got such a big bad facing us why does it matter if someone is a stalinist, trotyskits, Marxism etc...
Even Marx and Engles say in the Communits Manifesto that it's the poor against the rich... put alot of things aside and let the left focus on the big picture
the perfect a***ogy is like some dudes wanna blow a chick's back out, but some are fussy like: "aww she got to arch her back."
i'm tipsy a bit... but man, even a layman like me can understand the semantics of this bs.
the right are so successful 'cause they are so power hungry that they are willing to sacrifice their morals and principles to achieve where as the left are seeking for electorial purity that f***s everything up. ahhhh
I want individuals to have shelter, nutritions, hydration, equality, a purpose, and for the worker's to make decisions on the direction of where their employment is heading. if you don't agree with that then you're a liberal cuck
:yeshrug: equality and wealth distribution or stfu

bourgeois and proletarian are not necessarily synonymous with how we use “rich and poor” and neither Marx nor Engels used those terms in that simplified sense. they are describing distinct class relations.
Communists are critical of using the term “left” in abstract because it ignores the underlying class relations (and hence the economic and other material conditions) that can motivate and individual or group to hold a certain political line or action.
By your logic, Vladimir Lenin and Barack Obama could be considered “left” yet Obama wants to explicitly maintain a capitalist method of organizing society .

i'm gonna keep it a buck; i'm a pseudo-intellectual who is trying to try and understand all about this.
there are cats who can read das kapital, communist manifesto, and state revolution and be flowing like gza on liquid swords after each reading. I just find it so hard and shi erhg

if you've made it past grade 10 english you can definitely read the communist manifesto. reading is a lot easier if you make it a habit and try and read at least a few pages each day. audiobooks and/or lectures can also be helpful and more substantial than what you'd get in a yt video most of the time
michael parenti is a lot of peoples introduction to socialism, hes very accessible

It really is a matter of sitting down and reading something.
Especially if you fell out of reading its always nice to go into a bookstore and grab a physical book for the first time in a while, get through some pages./// put your bookmark in that s***
But also there's plenty of audiobook/podcast material out there
There's probably also certain parts of history that may pique your interest you aren't even thinking about yet

i tried to do one of engels’ and couldn’t even get past a day of reading (not even sure i could’ve without the cog. disability), but something like state & rev was easier to understand then even you could go one more layer outside of lenin and do someone from this day and age converting those ideas w 21st century language, def understand wanting to get it from the ‘og’ source so to speak cause that’s how i felt originally

regarding primary sources, read, in order:
Wage, Labour, and Capital
the communist manifesto
principles of communism
what is to be done?
the state and revolution
the dual state
imperialism - the highest state of capital
on contradiction
on practice
opposite book worship
settlers (controversial take but it keeps the patsoc tendencies away)
this gives you the gist of
all written in gripping, digestible, even bite-sized manners by people who shaped history and learned from it in ways we can all find useful.
then read capital by marx. it's dense but i read it alongside this companian podcast: liberationschool.org/reading-capital-with-comrades-podcast
that's almost all the leftist reading i've done outside of
