This is big facts
I do a lot of tenant organizing and our org is openly socialist/communist. 90% of actual proletariat people who we organize are well aware of that and don’t give a f*** and are more curious about it than anything. There’s been a couple times where I’ve had tenants be kinda weirded out by it and ask “so you’re actually commies?” And I’m always just straight up about it, and after talking to them even tho they might not f*** with it they come out of the conversation with respect for the politics and just happy someone’s fighting for them
This is the big thing rightists get wrong. They say they want to promote socialism but are always too scared to say it cuz they say it will “alienate” people. Like yeah, it’s going to alienate petite bourgeois people like yourself, which is the only type of people they ever try to organize. But if you’ve ever been in a slum where people are really down bad living paycheck to paycheck, our politics are incredibly relatable to them if you’re just willing to be open and up front about it. These rightists and social democrats/fascists think that you have to be hush hush about it and say people will somehow spontaneously embrace socialism/communism at some point in the future if we just get them economistic gains without ever saying anything about politics (they don’t even actually believe that, they just use that pie in the sky s*** as an excuse to cover the fact they aren’t really Marxists like they claim to be)
Point is. If you dedicate yourself to serving the people, you can be as open as you want about your politics because a) you’re materially helping them and they are willing to listen to what you have to say based on that alone and b) working class people are always open to real working class ideology. If we truly believe our politics/ideology is of and for the interests of the working class, why would we ever try to hide our beliefs from working class people? It’s pure cowardice and liberalism on the part of these phonies. Whenever we’ve had big line struggles about the political direction of the org, the rightists are always the ones trying to say “we need to tone it down” but they’re the exact same people who never actually go to the slums and organize, they’re never willing to put in the practical work despite constantly crying about “being pragmatic”. This is due to their petite bourgeois class outlook that makes them uncomfortable and scared to go to where the people are really at and organize them
i remember when i first started organizing around my neighborhood i was pleasantly surprised to find how many people were open to communism, most people were just genuinely curious, and more often than not agreeing with us

the crazy thing about mainstream class a***ysis in the USA is that the petty-bourgeoise and proletariat are lumped together and its quite deliberate
like majority of the trump base is petty-bourgeois managers with lifted trucks and mcmansions with eyes twitching as they look out the window looking for minorities “that don’t belong”
the “white working class” narrative that some dumbasses focus on is entirely made-up, like the DSA socdem CTH bernie d***riders (no wonder virgil texas became a tradcath reactionary)
the working class/proletariat is very dynamic and composes all different types of people, in regards to their background, and they cant be left out
id put down that the majority of the proletariat today is non-white actually

It's why talking about the "non-college educated" can be misleading. You don't need a bachelor to own a business.

yes, liberals (like dems) like to base their class a***ysis on education for some reason, which is really dumb

ive got a couple questions i might need some advice on if its cool to hit ur line
I guess all that sucking gargling and swallowing that Matt Taibis been doing has paid off because he gets the scoop on how Twitter helped suppress the hunter Biden story. I for one am shocked that media is run by political activists
maybe I'd give a s*** if the story was more than a failson smoking crack and f***ing hookers

One of the biggest changes BLM brought about materially is more funding for D&I offices lol

i would give one counter-point which is that for a lot of the people you're talking about who don't organize among the working class, it's not that they believe they have to be quiet about it because it'll scare off the working class and one day they'll just embrace it, it's more that they hold a contempt for the actual working class and fundamentally don't believe they are worthwhile to organize with or have any revolutionary potential (in spite of if they claim to be marxist or otherwise)

Oh yeah definitely. I was trying to allude to that at various points but wanted to take their arguments at somewhat face value based on the experiences I’ve had with those types
It’s always those people who just “show up” to things but are clearly quite literally scared to actually talk to working class people and hold their noses at them. It’s funny because they use a lot of opportunistically populist rhetoric to present themselves as more “down to earth” but this is really just a vehicle for them to flatten class contradictions and provide an excuse to really only be interested in petite bourgeois and labor aristocracy people

a lot of it also comes down to like partisanship on other levels imo. i think there is a truth on some level that a "white trash" type (hate that term tbh but it gets across the group i'm conveying) family probably statistically isn't as open to ideas of communism in literal terms themselves even though they may otherwise be open to ideas detached from the name. Of course this doesn't cancel out anything you're saying - I would basically saying if anything it's the opposite, it's more validating because no groups make an effort to organize these groups to begin with for there to even be any gaugable results, so it always comes down to over-intellectualized discussions.
