DAMN is his only miss so far, the rest is heat
DAMN is not my favorite album of his but calling it a miss is wild
see I'm on the other side where as time goes on I have to keep asking myself, is this kendrick's best album?? and it might be
I honestly think it is
Mr morale wasn’t a disappointment to any mature adult.
Maybe if you only value catchy TikTok music then sure
Mr. Morale is by far Kendrick's worst album, I'd say that's indisputable, but if you compare it to Drake's worst albums — since we're talking about the beef — it clears them by a mile. FATD, CLB ... Those are embarrassingly bad albums. Nothing whatsoever embarrassing about Mr. Morale. It's just not as good as what came before. Still fire, and Kendrick clearly was going through some s*** lol.
At the end of the day the music was not hitting when put next to the rest of his discog. When DAMN. dropped I was OCD obsessed with Loyalty and Pride for at least 2-3 days and replayed that album all summer. Fear is a career-defining level track. I didn’t feel any kind of magic like that with MM, even though it was a good album and I don’t have anything Bad to say about it.
I’m still not really good at articulating what it was about this album that was underwhelming in a sense to me because it’s really good. I can’t say “it just wasn’t for me” at this point because I‘ve seen this exact topic on here so many times that there has to be a shred of truth to it. Sold out tours and awards aren’t a good argument against that because again, this is still a really good album from an elite artist. Of course it’ll s*** on whatever’s in his lane that year. But I guess some of us just expected more. The way he seamlessly blended substance with style together to create DAMN. is an achievement I think people still gloss over and may be hard for him to ever match or top
What songs were choppy rapping?
like mother I sober
really felt the content, loved the beth gibbons performance, prod etc. but the rapping itself was just not it IMO
N95
Rich Spirit
Count Me Out (good song ruined by tiktok drums)
Silent Hill
Mr. Morale
Funnily enough these all flopped on TikTok while United in Grief, an actually good song, was an organic hit there
Fr the gaslighting itt is on another level

Hilarious how KTT turned into this
You people are old as f***
this is such bullshit.
The first goal of entertainment is to entertain. I dont care about the intent of various art projects. If it’s a creative piece, fine. Dont ask people to listen to it then.
art is not entertainment though
Half of Mr. Morale is TikTok bait
Ah yeah man. Nothing more Tiktok bait than a song about your getting molested. Or a song about a couple arguing. How about the one about a strained relationship with your father impacting how you repress emotions and treat women. I can go on with more than half the album.

I disagree about it being his worst
There are better albums from him though, that’s true

Every single post you make is just delusional nonsense my man
What's your ranking
My ranking is a little wonkey compared to what others like but for me it’s
TPAB
GKMC
GAP
MM&TBS
DAMN
GAP
Section.80
I don’t think he has a single bad album. His discography is rock solid. I do think Section.80 gets a bit overrated due to nostalgia bias. MM&TBS and DAMN are neck and neck for me. Both fantastic albums but a few of the songs on MM&TBS like United In Grief, Worldwide Steppers, Count Me Out, Savior and Mother I Sober edge DAMN out for me and really resonate with me.
Saying it's his worst is definitely arguable but it's pretty meaningless when all of his projects are good
Personally I'd put it above Section.80 but that's it
