There was no shelter. It came up to me as I was sitting in the parking lot of my building on the busiest night. A birdie told me that it was a Snow Festival and everyone wanted to come get drunk and listen to music. Couldn’t leave the cat outside. I’ve seen 2 cats get run over and It just didn’t sit right with me leaving it. It’s a shame how sick it is. I can’t believe the vet gave me 4-5 different meds to give to it. And it’s mad difficult getting him to open his mouth 😓

And I still found fleas on him. Will have to comb him thoroughly and watch Link for itches

Update:

First day away from the kitten for 9 hours.

I come home, Link greets me at the door and the bathroom door is cracked open, my heart drops….

I look under the chair that I used to keep the bathroom door closed and the kitten is safe, sitting on the sweater I placed on the crack of the door to prevent link from reaching his dirty little paws under it.

I called the vet to ask what to do in case they came into contact and basically I just have to monitor link now 😓

On the bright side, at least Link didn’t Maul the kitten, who is being so f***ing cute. I have the perfect tik tok video set up I just gotta record a song from YouTube cuz they don’t have the part of the song I need

op u a real one this thread just hit close to home. adopted a baby cat in greece after i saw her whole family get murked by a car. she was hiding in the bushes and kept meowing like crazy. she was so helpless that i had to take her with me. later turned out she had ringworm and all kinds of stuff as well. treated her until she got healthy then took her back home (where my other cat was already waiting). they couldn’t stand each other for weeks and they never really got to like each other, but at least they weren’t really hating either. so it can get better. much love & health to u and ur cats man. cherish the time y’all have together.

My aunt has a 3 legged kitten on her farmland that I plan on taking in. One of her neighbors ran it over with their car and then went and sat the kitten on my aunts doorstep without notifying her about it until much later. Was about 3 months old when they hit it. Spent Thanksgiving with her and couldn't possibly find a sweeter animal.

Thinking I might just have to give up the kitten

He got out of the bathroom again and was probably all over the house today. I’m glad link didn’t murder him, but the thing is, the kitten has herpes and I don’t want Link to get infected.

There’s no treatment and I’m so worried about getting him sick.
