the wire season 1 is fundamental for prestige tv. you can see how influential it is once you’ve seen that, and Omar one of the best characters ever

sick man. was on a roll binging HBO drama shows I’ve missed like sopranos, GOT, etc but the wire has been on the list for a hot minute

felt weird bc the whole score was 80s songs and earlier, that took a lil immersion out but i get it and couldn’t see any other song for the ending

show lost a lil cohesion after singletons passing but insanely good throughout, slow s5 made for an amazing s6, everyone played the f*** out they roles especially damson amin and carter, crazy

Greatest show of all time and it’s the reason why we have shows like BB, The Wire, Snowfall, etc.

I think if someone is looking for entertainment they should get into Snowfall first

The Wire expects a lot out of you as a viewer
