The thing about the wire unlike pretty much every show is it always felt like there was always like 10 consecutive separate story lines going on throughout

They really dug deep into every character and explained the backstory etc

Snowfall is an easier watch, and legit the best thing on TV now by far. But the wire was next level

Don't get it twisted tho, much like Justified and Americans before it Snowfall is the most underrated show on TV.

The Wire and Sopranos stories were both far more complex and had way more layers to it

id compare snowfall more to breaking bad which had less storylines/characters to build the stories around

It's more suited for the modern viewe but it's not touching BB and Sopranos.

Just finished season 1. Has its flaws but it's a solid 7/10 and it looks like it can only keep getting better. Still I'd compare this with the Deuce before the OGs like Sopranos. And I'd say the Deuce s1 is better

S1 weakest season tho
